Wall lights are one of the easiest ways to add another layer of light without taking up floor or table space. They work beside a bed, above a mirror, along a hallway or next to a favourite piece of furniture, and can be just as decorative as they are practical.
Our collection ranges from simple glass and shaded designs to swing-arm reading lights, picture lights, globe and crystal wall lights. There are also rechargeable options and IP-rated designs for bathrooms and other areas where a little more protection is needed.
More Than Just a Wall Light
Where you put a wall light can make a big difference. Beside a bed, a swing-arm or directional design gives you light for reading without needing to fill the bedside table with a lamp. In a hallway, a pair or a row of wall lights can provide a softer alternative to relying entirely on the ceiling light.
They can also be used to draw attention to something else in the room. Picture lights are an obvious choice for artwork, while a decorative wall light beside a fireplace, mirror or console can become part of the arrangement.
Glass, Shades and Decorative Designs
The collection covers a wide range of looks. Ribbed and opal glass give a softer glow, while clear glass and globe designs let the light become more visible. Fabric and linen shades bring a warmer feel, while brass, gold, nickel and black finishes give the same basic wall light a very different character.
For something more decorative, there are crystal, Art Deco and more traditional designs that can make a wall light a feature in its own right.
Wall Lights for Bedrooms and Reading
A wall-mounted reading light can be particularly useful beside a bed or armchair. Swing-arm designs allow you to move the light towards you when you need it and push it back when you don't, without taking up the space that a floor or table lamp would require.
Some designs are also rechargeable, giving you more flexibility where you don't want to install new wiring.
Bathroom Wall Lights
Wall lights are especially useful around bathroom mirrors, where good lighting can be more important than simply having a central ceiling light. For these areas, look for an appropriate IP rating for the position of the fitting.
Our collection includes IP44 and IP65 wall lights, including designs with ribbed and opal glass. Always check the individual product's IP rating and installation requirements before choosing a light for a bathroom or outdoor location.
