Cluster pendants bring several lights together in one fitting, creating more impact than a single pendant without being quite as formal as a chandelier. They work particularly well above dining tables, in stairwells and in rooms with higher ceilings, where the different heights of the globes can really be seen.

Different Sizes for Different Spaces
The number of globes makes a noticeable difference to the overall look. Six-globe clusters are easier to use in smaller rooms or above a more compact dining table, while nine and twelve-globe designs have more impact in larger spaces.
A twelve-globe pendant can work particularly well beneath a high or double-height ceiling, where the individual globes have room to hang at different levels without making the fitting feel crowded.
Opal, Tinted or Smoked Glass
The glass changes the way the pendant looks when the lights are on and off. Opal globes give a softer, more even glow, while tinted and smoked glass have a darker, more distinctive appearance.
The frame adds another layer to the design. Brushed brass brings warmth, while satin nickel has a cooler, cleaner feel that works well in contemporary interiors.
Where to Use Cluster Pendants
Dining tables are a natural place for a cluster pendant, particularly when you want the lighting to become part of the room rather than simply sit above the table. They can also work beautifully in stairwells and entrances, where the drop and different globe heights can make use of vertical space.
